and pick and choose parts of the various religions for mine

if I HAD to pick a name for the God I hope for, I would pick the name
used twice in the bible "I am"

I forget the book/verse in the bible where this is mentioned

"Ehyeh asher ehyeh" (I AM WHO I AM) is rendered in Greek as "ego eimi
ho on", or "I am the BEING"

Unfortunately, this is not the same "I am" Jesus supposedly spoke in
John. 8:58. That "I am" is purely sloppy translation of 'ego eimi'
where as the original greek text actually reads more accurately as "I
have been".

I think you might be missing my point. I quite agree - Greek is not
the original language of the book of Isaiah. But Greek (Koine'
dialect specifically) IS largely the language of the New Testament (or
more accurately referred to as the Christian Greek Scriptures) which
John 8:58 was written in AND includes the 'I AM' (ego eimi) that is
often conflated with the Hebrew Scriptures "I AM" but is more
accurately translated into English as "I am what I am", or "I shall
cause to be(come)". The reason I point this out is because John 8:58
is also the trinitarians' attempt to link Jesus with the "I AM"
(Yahweh) of the Old Testament Hebrew Scriptures to prop up their
wobbly horse Trinity doctrine (which itself is not taught in the
bible, nor is the very word "Trinity" even mentioned). On this point,
I have to agree with the Muslims, Unitarians, and JWs. The conflation
of the "I AM" from two different languages is the root cause of THE
major pagan doctrinal influence in Christianity, and is pure bullshit.
